At Açı High School, the emphasis is placed on learning rather than just teaching. Not only students but all stakeholders are considered members of a learning community, and activities are carried out accordingly.

The Açı High School campus in Bahçeköy hosts two schools: Açı Anatolian High School and Açı Social Sciences High School.

In the Açı Academic Program, 9th and 10th-grade students follow the Ministry of National Education curriculum. For 11th and 12th-grade students, in addition to core subjects, the curriculum includes elective courses that are enriched based on individual student interests, skills, and preferences for university options in Turkey or abroad. Academic

Açı Academic Program (AAP)
The primary language of instruction in the Açı Academic Program is Turkish. However, the language of instruction for preparatory courses for universities abroad is English. The Açı Academic Program meets all the objectives of the Ministry of National Education’s secondary education program.

Core Program

The core program consists of compulsory courses that every student must take. The foundation of the Açı High School curriculum is based on advanced reading and writing skills, effective use of their native language, acquiring advanced skills in multiple foreign languages, analytical thinking, and a comprehensive general knowledge education. In this context, the following subjects constitute the core program that every student must take:
* Turkish Language and Literature
* English (language and literature)
* History of Civilization
* Mathematics

Açı Learning Experience (ALE)

The program is named Learning Experience because learning is a lifelong journey and an individual process.

Lifelong learning extends beyond applying knowledge acquired in the classroom to real life. ALE goes beyond classroom learning by encompassing social responsibility projects and extracurricular clubs covering over 20 topics. ALE offers opportunities to engage with life skills, music, art, communication, and human relations shaped by the impact of today’s technology.

Clubs

Clubs serve as a bridge, enabling students to apply what they’ve learned in class and the skills they’ve developed in school to social life.
* 8th, 9th, and 10th-grade students gain experience by participating in club activities.
* 11th and 12th-grade students take on leadership roles, such as establishing, managing, and organizing annual events for their clubs.

Clubs participate in conferences, events, and competitions both locally and internationally. Music groups, for instance, prepare for performances such as school festivals and seasonal concerts. Clubs operate outside class hours, spread across three different time slots.

Additionally, students can establish their own clubs as part of the Student Individual Project (SIP). Students interested in creating and implementing their own projects must share their ideas with the ALE coordinator. After completing the preparation process and obtaining approval, the project will be brought to life as a club the following year.

Social Responsibility Projects

Participation in social responsibility projects is voluntary for all age groups. Through the Student Individual Project (SIP), students can propose their own social responsibility projects to the ALE coordinator. After the preparation period, these projects are approved, and students can implement them.
