Ayşen Şıkdiken

Açı Schools Board of Directors Advisor

After completing her studies at Hacettepe University’s School of Business Administration and Accounting department, she graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Letters, Department of American Language and Literature.She worked as a research assistant for four years in the same department and completed her master’s program and doctoral coursework.

From 1994 to 2004, she worked at Bilkent University’ School of English Language as a lecturer, department head, teacher trainer, and as an educational consultant for Bilkent Schools.She completed a two year advanced teaching program and a one-year advanced English language management program, designed in collaboration with Cambridge University and Bilkent University. During her years of service, she took courses in program development, assessment and evaluation, and educational management from Plymouth, Bath, and Stanford Universities.

Between 2004 and 2008, She served as an administrator at Bilkent Middle School, providing services in program development and teacher training.

Since 2008, she has been working at Açı Schools. During this time, she has held responsibilities as school principal, primary and middle school English program coordinator, and academic coordinator for both primary and middle schools from 2012 to 2023

Since August 2023, she has been working as an Advisor to the Board of Directors at Açı Schools.
