Clubs

PRE-SCHOOL

Açı Preschool clubs are structured to contribute to the physical, spiritual, and mental development of young students, to discover their individual talents at an early age, and to nurture their existing or developing interests.

These activities offered in arts, sports, and music provide the foundation for students’ future choices in elementary school and later stages of their lives. Students who choose sports activities will have the opportunity to join school teams in elementary school based on their interests and skills. Activities such as Aikido, Gymnastics, Basketball, Pilates, Ballet, Mental Games, Chess, and Piano take place after school hours or on weekends within Açı Music School and Açı Sports School.

PRIMARY SCHOOL

ACTIVITIES

In our Grade 1-4 classes, we have rotational activity periods so that students can choose the areas they are interested in. Activities last for 2 class hours per week. Students are divided into two groups based on their classes: “Rotation Groups” and “Presentation Groups.” Students in the rotation groups participate in sports, chess, science, technology, and handicrafts activities on a rotating basis during the first semester.

Presentation groups prepare a joint theater performance with dance, drama, and music activities and present this performance at the end of the semester. The rotation groups change every 4-5 weeks, while presentation groups stay in the same activity throughout the semester. In the second semester, students who were in the presentation groups will join the rotational activity classes, and students who were in the rotational classes will continue as a presentation group.

CLUBS

We place great importance on our students taking responsibility in the areas they are interested in and talented at, as well as further developing themselves in these fields. For this reason, we conduct after-school activities with voluntary students once a week.

Our after-school clubs are as follows:
• Açı Magazine
• Eco-School
• Mathematics Club
• Technology Club

MIDDLE SCHOOL

In middle school, elective courses are divided into two categories, offering students the opportunity to receive education and engage in practice on topics they are interested in.
In the “Elective Course 1” category, students participate in classes under the topics of “Science – Mathematics,” “Culture – Society,” and “Technology – Strategy,” where they can engage in practical applications, create projects, and participate in school-wide tournaments, competitions, or collaborations.
The “Elective Course 2” category consists of courses under “Performing Arts,” “Music,” and “Visual Arts,” where each student is encouraged to express themselves through one of the arts, enhancing their creativity, presentation skills, and aesthetic sense.

You can see the areas where students can receive training under the categories of “Elective Course 1” and “Elective Course 2” below:

Elective Course 1:
Science – Mathematics (Science Club, Science Kitchen, Brain Games, CSI)
Culture – Society (Açı Magazine, Global Connection, Social Responsibility, Eco-School, My Backpack on My Back, Art of Thinking, Radio, Pre-JMUN, JMUN, Role Playing Games)
Technology – Strategy (Go, Chess, Digital Design, Maker, Programming-Algorithm)

Elective Course 2:
Visual Arts (Art, Sculpture, Industrial Design, Photography, Film Club)
Music (Rhythm, Choir, Violin, Guitar, Saxophone, Flute, Cello, Trumpet, Clarinet)
Performing Arts (Theater, Dance)

HIGH SCHOOL

The reason school clubs are grouped under “learning experiences” is because learning is a lifelong journey and an individual process.

This learning goes beyond classroom education with ALE, social responsibility projects, and clubs, creating opportunities to experience music and art, which hold significant value in our culture, and to learn about communication and human relations, which are rapidly changing with continuous changes in technology.

ALE invites individuals to witness some extraordinary, creative, and effective examples on this journey, where original ideas and different perspectives are discovered
