Açı Schools’ sports program aims to raise physically literate individuals by providing students with the necessary knowledge, skills and self-confidence to enjoy physical activity throughout their lives. PRE-SCHOOL

Physical activity in the preschool period is a critical element that supports not only children’s physical development but also their cognitive, social and emotional development. Açı Preschool Movement Program is designed to help children develop healthy habits and build the foundations of physical literacy during their growing years. The program offers a fun and versatile learning experience that appeals to the individual development of each child.

Basic Components of the Program

1. Gymnastics: Children gain body awareness through basic gymnastic movements that develop balance, flexibility, strength and coordination skills.

2. Play: Through free and structured play, children’s problem-solving, cooperation, turn-taking and social interaction skills are strengthened. Group games support habits of sharing and communication.

Dance: Dance activities accompanied by music and rhythm help develop children’s creativity, motor skills and emotional expression.

Health and Hygiene Awareness: Hygiene, healthy nutrition and daily movement habits that form the basis of a healthy life are taught through fun activities.

Outdoor and Nature Activities

PRIMARY SCHOOL

Açı Schools’ Primary School Sports Program aims to help students acquire the habit of physical activity, develop a love for sports and create an awareness of physical literacy. In addition to supporting physical development, the program is enriched with activities that will improve students’ social and emotional skills. Students have the opportunity to recognize and develop their individual talents while exploring the fun aspects of sports.

Main Objectives of the Programme

1. Sports Love and Awareness: Our primary goal is to make our students adopt sports as a way of life and to ensure that physical activity becomes a part of their daily lives.

2. Physical Literacy Development: Students who comprehend the basic components of sports have the opportunity to improve their motor skills and gain awareness of physical fitness by experiencing different sports branches.

Main Sports Branches and Activities

  • Skill-Coordination: Activities that support the development of fine motor skills as well as basic movement skills are practiced.
  • Athletics: Basic athletics activities such as running, jumping and throwing develop students’ physical characteristics such as speed, endurance and balance.

Gradual Development and Assessment

The program is planned in a vertical structure in accordance with the developmental characteristics of students from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Specific learning outcomes are taught and developed progressively according to students’ ages and physical capacities.

  • 1-2. 1-2. Grades: Basic motor skills and game-based learning emphasize the fun aspect of sports.
  • Grade 3: Introduction to team games, learning sports rules and developing strategic thinking skills.
  • Grade 4: Through physical fitness tests, students participate in the process of assessing their individual fitness levels and setting personal development goals. Students gain practical experience by preparing their personal fitness programs according to the results.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Açı Schools’ Middle School Sports Program aims to help students make physical activity an integral part of their lives and develop a love for sports and an awareness of physical literacy. During this period, students have the opportunity to strengthen their teamwork, strategic thinking and leadership skills while acquiring more compound motor skills. The program has a multi-faceted structure that aims to increase students’ physical fitness while also allowing them to experience the social and emotional benefits of sport.

Main Objectives of the Programme

1.Physical Fitness and Healthy Living Awareness: Students are encouraged to adopt an active lifestyle by maintaining their physical fitness levels. Fitness tests at the beginning and end of the year are used to monitor students’ physical development.

2. Sports Culture and Participation: Awareness of being involved in sporting events as spectators and participants is developed. Students internalize sports culture by experiencing the individual and social benefits of sports.

3. Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving: Students develop quick thinking, decision making and problem solving skills during sports games.

Main Sports Branches and Activities

  • Physical Fitness and Fitness Training: Fitness trainings are organized to increase endurance, strength, flexibility, agility, agility, power and balance.

In these branches, students receive regular training throughout the year, contributing to their physical, social and emotional development. In addition, they are given the opportunity to experience different sports branches and gain a well-rounded sports culture.

Individual Physical Fitness Programs

In grades 5 and 6, students prepare physical fitness programs in line with their individual goals and gain the ability to implement these programs both at school and in their daily lives. This process helps students gain a sense of responsibility and self-discipline.

While students have the opportunity to specialize in different sports branches according to their individual interests and abilities, they also gain important life skills such as teamwork, leadership and strategic thinking.

Main Objectives of the Programme

1. Lifelong Physical Activity and Health Awareness: Students are encouraged to adopt an active lifestyle and understand the positive effects of physical activity on physical and mental health.

2. Specialization in Individual and Team Sports: Students have the opportunity to develop in their chosen sport in accordance with their performance levels and interests.
